| MOST Forum 2010: New ECL Test Unit for MOST® Components
ECL Test Unit from GADV reliably generates and verifies signal traffic of the Electrical Control Line in a MOST Network
Boeblingen (Germany) January 20, 2010 – GADV, an automation service provider and test house, with its new ECL Test Unit (ETU001) offers a reliable solution for generating and verifying the signal traffic of the electrical control line on components in a MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) network. The Electrical Control Line Specification Rev. 1.01 defines the requirements of MOST applications. The activities of this control line have to be examined and controlled for test and simulation purposes.
The ECL Test Unit offers comprehensive functionality and multiple modes. System tests can be accomplished and electrical wake-up signals can be generated. The system is configured for both a master/slave simulation and a single/multi-node class simulation. The ECL monitor allows for a continuous edge and impulse detection and shows nominal and interfering signals. The test unit additionally provides different options for timing manipulation and recognizes signal overlaps and collisions. By means of a sensing device, manual triggering of a wake-up impulse is carried out. The coupling impedance is adjustable. The ECL Test Unit is compliant to the Electrical Control Line Specification Rev 1.01 of the MOST Cooperation.
The ECL Test Unit will be presented at the concurrent exhibition to
the MOST Forum,
March 23, 2010 in Frankfurt, Germany.
